Secret Spot

How to Play Secret Spot

A hidden-location party game. Most players know the same place, while one hidden player must blend in without knowing it.

Play Flow

  1. 1The host creates a room, chooses a location deck, and shares the link.
  2. 2Everyone joins with a nickname. No account required.
  3. 3The host starts once at least 4 players are in the room.
  4. 4Location players view their secret location and role.
  5. 5The hidden player does not know the location and must infer it from answers.
  6. 6Players take turns asking and answering questions in voice, video, or in person.
  7. 7When time runs out, everyone votes for the hidden player.
  8. 8The room reveals the hidden player, actual location, vote scores, and player roles.

Goal for Location Players

  • Answer questions in a way that fits your location and role.
  • Watch for answers that sound too broad or out of place.
  • Do not reveal the location too directly or the hidden player may guess it.

Goal for the Hidden Player

  • Listen carefully and infer the location from other answers.
  • Blend in without revealing that you do not know the location.
  • Use Possible Locations to narrow down your guesses.

Example Questions

  • What are you here to do today?
  • Is this place noisy?
  • Why do people usually come here?
  • What would people usually wear here?
  • What would you see here most often?
  • What does your role do at this location?

Win Conditions

  • If the top-voted player is the hidden player, the group wins.
  • If someone else receives the most votes, the hidden player escapes.
  • If the top vote is tied and the hidden player is part of the tie, the hidden player escapes.

Host Tips

  • Use the Beginner Deck for first-time players.
  • Ask everyone to keep answers short and take turns.
  • Move to voting when the discussion slows down or time runs out.

New Player Tips

  • Avoid asking directly what the location is.
  • Give enough detail to sound real, but not enough to reveal the answer.
  • If you are hidden, open Possible Locations and eliminate options from the conversation.
