How to Play Shadow Quest
A secret-mission deduction game where the light side reads the room while shadow agents create doubt and survive the vote.
Play Flow
Once at least 5 players join, the host starts the game.
The system assigns some players as Shadow Agents and the rest as Light Seekers.
Shadow Agents see their shadow allies.
Light Seekers only know their own role and must read everyone's answers.
Everyone discusses, questions motives, and explains how they help the light side.
When ready, the host moves the room to voting.
Everyone votes for the player they think is a Shadow Agent.
The room reveals the shadow side, vote scores, and result.
Light Seeker Goal
Find players whose reasoning feels strange or evasive.
Ask questions that make everyone explain their logic.
Vote out a Shadow Agent before the shadow side blends in.
Shadow Agent Goal
Make your answers sound useful to the light side.
Create suspicion around other players without being too obvious.
Avoid becoming the top-voted player.
Example Questions
Who would you trust most right now, and why?
Who gave reasons that truly help the light side?
Who changed their answer too much after hearing others?
If you were shadow, where would you try to confuse the room?
Win Conditions
If the top-voted player is a Shadow Agent, the light side exposes them.
If a Light Seeker is top-voted, the shadow side escapes.
If the vote is unclear and a shadow player is tied at the top, the shadow side escapes.
